Mid Season (Late June – July) is prime for fishing. The water is calm, but not warm. The guides on this adventure know all the best fishing holes and flies to use!

Late Season (End of July – August) is great for the possibility to fly-in and have the river to yourself. There are less people towards the end of the season, and the water is calm and warm for drifting and swimming.

Fly to Boise, Idaho and take a small plane to Stanley or choose to rent a car and take the scenic drive. From there, you’ll spend a night in the small, rustic community for the evening.

Take a shuttle to the airport the next day and then take a backcountry flight into the wilderness where you’ll meet your guides and begin fishing.

After 3 days of fishing, you’ll be taken to your fly-out plane and be taken back to Stanley.

TRIP REVIEWS

“Communication from the office before the trip was solid. The backcountry flight in was filled with amazing scenery. The Outfitter met us at the airfield right on time. Guides we nice, fun and professional. Food was awesome. Scenery was epic! Stars were phenomenal, having no phones for 3.5 days was incredible! Boats were set up well for fly fishing, fishing on the middle fork was just OK as the water was pretty muddy from a mudslide two weeks before. Side creeks were clear and fishing was better.

Also because we started further down the river it didn’t seem like we had that much time on the water. Guides were great about stopping to soak in hot springs and check out ancient petroglyphs, as well as helping us with fly selection and roughly were to put it. We would totally do it again! I am mostly a novice fly fisherman and this trip really improved my entire fishing game, from fly selection, to casting and fly placement. The boats were set up with had bottoms and stands, so that you could stand up easily and safely and cast with ease. Fishing from a raft totally spoiled me.”
