  • Professional guides with years of experience
  • Delicious, Hearty Meals, Prepared by Lodge Staff

The lodge is located on the world famous Naknek River. This is a great trip if you are looking for some remoteness, but also a home base that has a comfortable bed, hot shower, and a good meal.

Different times during the season will land you different types of fish on this adventure. For example, when this season begins in June, when the King Salmon enter the river system. They are fairly active through the end of July (when the season for them ends).

Through July, Sockeye Salmon run heavily through the river systems when over 2 million fish swim inland. And to finish the season, Silvers and Nanek Rainbows run through August to mid-September.

Fly to Anchorage, and then onto King Salmon. Alaska Airlines is the best choice and they have flights that will take you to King Salmon without having to change planes. Raven is another airline that flies to and from King Salmon, and they can have great rates!

TRIP REVIEWS

Three friends and I went to King Salmon Lodge for silver salmon. Fished first two days on Naknek River by lodge and got our limit of salmon, Did a fly-out trip to another river and caught lots of salmon–fishing was excellent. Another day we took utility vehicle with guide and traveled cross country for couple of hours to fish for rainbows, dolly varden and grayling. Fished this smaller stream with both fly rods and spinning rods – was a pleasant day catching fish and having an excellent shore lunch. Took a day and flew to Katmai National Park to view the brown bears. Saw lots of bears and enjoyed walking and visiting with rangers and folks at the park. Can fish there among the bears if you choose to . Last couple of days we again fished on the Naknek. Accommodations and food was excellent. Guides were very knowledgeable and helpful. Trip was better than expectations. Always a good feeling.

My wife Kelly and I took a trip with Got Fishing to The King Salmon Lodge, King Salmon Alaska. We had a wonderful time! The lodge is extremely comfortable, great staff and dining is delightful. I felt like everything was handled when we arrived. Our host, Denis Isbister, was great and the guides were first class. Fishing was a memory I will cherish the rest of my life. We fished for Silver Salmon and Trout. We went over to Katmai National Park for a day. Fly fished the Brooks River and viewed bears. We were looking forward to that for decades. Great trip, excellent staff. King Salmon Lodge can’t be beat.

Beautiful lodge with wonderful people! The silver, rainbow and arctic char fishing was more than I could have imagined. The home river of the Naknek was on fire when we were there and the fly out opportunities are almost unlimited. King Salmon Lodge guided us to fish everyday, cleaned, packaged and froze our fish ready for our flights home. 5 stars on this adventure all the way!
