THIS ADVENTURE IS FULLY BOOKED

Strobel Lake, or more commonly known as “Jurassic Lake”, is one of the most remote, wild and sought after fishing destinations in the world! Located on the southern end of the famous Patagonian region in Argentina, this bucket list destination boasts the largest rainbow trout in the world. It is not uncommon to land multiple double digit rainbows in a day, with the real possibility of a 20+ pounder!

  • 7 days of guided fishing
  • Access to multiple bodies of water
  • Professional guides with years of experience
  • Chef-prepared meals
  • World-class rainbow trout fishing

The lodge is a typical “Estancia house” accommodating 10-12 anglers per week. It has 10 single and double bedrooms with comfortable “en suite” bathrooms, with hot water 24/7. Single room lodging and guiding can be provided for an additional cost.

The spacious livingroom overlooking Laguna Verde is one of the best areas in the lodge. Anglers can sip on a cocktail while enjoying slide shows of the catches of the day on the 42´ LCD TV set. Satellite TV and a DVD player are available for entertainment as well.

For complete relaxation, there is a fly tying desk and library to enjoy when not fishing.

The staff at the lodge provide friendly and professional attention that shapes a relaxing and hassle-free atmosphere to guarantee guests have a truly unforgettable experience.

There is more to fish then just Jurassic Lake.

Anglers come to this area because of Jurassic Lake and the opportunity to hook into a 20 pound fish of a lifetime, but when you book a trip with Got Fishing and Estancia Laguna Verde you also have exclusive access to the famed Baracosso River, Moro Creek, and 12 smaller lakes and lagoons. This is why anglers return year after year – there is a lot to explore!

Over the years, the guides have learned that what impresses and amazes the anglers are the methods they use to catch these world record rainbows: sight fishing in gin-clear waters to cruising fish using floating lines, slow stripping small to medium size streamers and nymphs, skating big foam flies and mouse patterns, or even the famous “hopper-dropper” (hanging scuds and small nymphs from big dry flies). Estancia Laguna Verde is, undeniably the ultimate fly fishing experience!

Fly into El Calafate, Argentina where you will be greeted by a representative of the Estancia Laguna Verde Lodge. From there, a shuttel ride will take you to the lodge for seven days of fishing. At the end of your trip, return to El Calafate for the flight home.

The shuttle is not short, and can take up to four hours. But not to worry! The feedback we get time and time again is that the shuttle is part of the adventure and a great way to see the diverse scenery and vast landscapes. It’s just too beautiful to miss!
