There is a major emphasis on delicious, chef-prepared meals on this adventure!

Some meals will be prepared by Sami Chef Kristoffer Åstrom. His unique approach to preparing traditional foods with a blend of ancient and modern techniques has established his reputation as one of the best chefs in Northern Sweden.

The other chef on this adventure, Eva Gunnare, is known for her ability to craft delicious meals from fresh, Arctic ingredients!

Some delicacies to look forward to include moose burgers and steaks, roasted trout, smoked Arctic char, poached grayling, native berries, and other wild cuisine that is abundant in the area.

On the first evening of this trip, guests will stay at Hotel Akerlund in Jokkmokk, which is approximately 2 hours from the airport.

On day two, guests will be transferred to the base camp which features rustic cabins (no running water, wood cook stoves, small solar panel for electricity, outhouse). Sleeping accommodations on this adventure are bunk-style rooms, with each room featuring 2-4 bunks. Although rustic, these cabins are an authentic part of this adventure!

On the way home, guests will again stay at Hotel Akerlund in Jokkmokk.

Novice anglers through expert fisherman are all welcomed alike on this adventure!

Some fish on this adventure may be kept and prepared by the chef in delicious, traditional dishes!

This experience differs slightly from the normal, fully-guided adventures. Because it will be daylight at all hours of the day, there is endless fishing for guests to enjoy! Guests have access to remote rivers and lakes that have virtually no fishing pressure. These wild populations of Arctic char, brown trout, and Arctic grayling produce beautifully-sized fish and healthy populations.

The real fishing attraction in this part of the world is the biggest and best Arctic grayling fishing in the world, although there are many sportfish to enjoy!

Fish several sections of the Tsielekjåhkkå River for brown trout and Arctic char or hike into high mountain lakes to fish for trout and Arctic char. Enjoy epic views of the surrounding landscapes.

Although gear may be provided, guests are encouraged to bring their own gear if desired and preferred.
