Anglers dream of coming out West to experience the thrill of hooking into a native cutthroat, a fat rainbow, or even the illusive Bull Trout. Idaho is known for its legendary trout fishing, and it is well deserved. Idaho is choked full of “Blue Ribbon” fisheries, but the problem can be that you’re not the only one that knows about them. Access parking lots can be jammed packed with anglers all scrambling for a spot on the river. The other issue is the fish become very pressured, and not as easy to fool. Great rivers and lots of fun, but we have better!
We know of place that few know about, and yet it has some of the best western fishing you have ever experienced, or even heard about. Taylor Outfitting, located in McCall, Idaho has just about every aspect of Idaho trout fishing you can image. Full day backpack trips to high mountain lakes, drift boat float trips, local creeks and streams, or a unique trip targeting mountain tiger musky. Fly casting lessons are also available from IFF certified casting instructors. Perfect for those looking to either learn the art of fly fishing, or those looking to improve on their cast. A real plus to this fishing adventure is that after a day of fishing there are a variety of natural hot springs to soak in and get ready for the next day’s adventure. Not many places can say that! With over 20 years of guiding in this area Taylor Outfitting knows where the fish are!
In addition to the stunning scenery, what makes this trip unique is that you can customize it to meet the experience you’re looking to have. Each day can be completely different from the day before, or you can fish the same water every day. This is truly your trip, and we will help you design it according to the time of seasons, access, hatches, flows, etc. Most of the time when anglers visit an area they are dependant on that particular piece of water being productive. And if for some reason it’s turned off, and we all know that happens, it can make for a tough trip. The fishing never stops on this trip! If a particular piece of water is not fishing as well as it should be the Outifter will move you to another piece of water that is fishing well! Taylor Outfitting has such a diverse inventory of possibilities that there is never a concern with catching fish!
