Experience Argentina like never before!

Located centrally within the vast pampas grasslands, lies Nehuen Mapu Big Game Hunting Ranch. Pairing luxury accommodations and service with excellent hunting opportunities, this is a bucket list hunting trip, with hunters from all over the globe flocking to this area. The highlight of the program is hunting for trophy Red Stag during the peak rut season, but there are a variety of other species you can hunt as well, such as: Fallow Deer, Axis Deer, Multi-horn Ram, Blackbuck, Wild Boar, Scottish Face, European Mouflon, Water Buffalo, Texas Dall Ram, and Doves & Pigeons on this 12,000 acre, premier, private open range and fenced hunting ranch. Whether you’re new to or an established international hunter, or you’re looking to get away from the high-quality hunting lodges in the United States, this is your chance to bag outstanding trophy animals within the solitude of South America!

Hunting is conducted in open grasslands as well as covered forests, making the experience a challenge for hunters of all skill levels. With 5-day or 7-day packages available, you can customize the trip, the species, and the experience to your liking, all while enjoying the 5-star customer service, world-class lodging, and beautiful scenery.

This experience is also the perfect add-on to our other Argentina offerings, such as Jurassic Lake, Golden Dorado River Cruiser, Kau Tapen, or our Cast N Blast excursion.

Located on 12,000 acres of private land, lies a comfortable, upscale, tastefully furnished lodge, thoughtfully designed with your needs in mind. The main lodge is the common space, featuring an open bar, pool table, fireplace, and more as well as open space for group meals and gatherings. There are two cabins total, both with two bedrooms, featuring single and double beds, with en suite bathrooms. Wifi and satellite internet will be available and laundry service is included with no extra charge.

Argentina, like most South American countries, is a nation rich with culture, specifically cuisine! You can expect to be eating well on this epic adventure with an emphasis placed on “field to table”, so you can enjoy dishes prepared from your trophies.

Typically, you’ll wake up and enjoy breakfast before the sunrise, depending on the hunting plan you work with the lodge on the night before. You’ll hit the trails and return mid morning, depending on the hunt, and enjoy lunch mid-day (this is the perfect time for an afternoon nap). You can go out after lunch to hunt for birds and rodents, if you’d like, or go back out for the big game stalk in the afternoon. You’ll come back to the lodge after sunset and enjoy a shower and appetizers before heading to the main gathering area for dinner. Dinner is served later in Argentina (around 8:30-9pm), but it’s well worth the wait! You’ll enjoy gourmet meals paired with Argentinian wines, selected specially by the owner.

At the end of the week, you’ll enjoy an asado, often referred to as a BBQ technique in preparing meat but also known as a social BBQ gathering!

The 12,000 acres of hunting land is broken up into two areas: a gated section and an open range section; The gated 6,000 acres is still plenty open and abundant with wildlife. The hunt is very personalized to you and your goals, with 1:1 guiding for a variety of species such as: Red Stag, Fallow Deer, Axis Deer, Multi-horn Ram, Blackbuck, Wild Boar, Scottish Black Face, European Mouflon, Water Buffalo, Texas Dall Ram, and Doves & Pigeons.

The guides will get you as close as 100 yards and up to 300 SCI for Red Stag, but finding a larger trophy is very likely! The herds of Red Stag have been well-maintained for over two decades, so the odds of harvesting a notable trophy are favorable. The meat that is harvested from the animals is difficult to transport overseas, without risk of spoiling, so you will enjoy meals during your time at the lodge, with the rest of the meat being donated to locals. But, you can bring home your trophy mounts and antlers with taxidermy services (available upon request).

Although you can bring your own firearms to Argentina, the lodge sees a lot of issues arise in customs and recommends you rent their well stocked and wide variety of firearms by the day. More about bringing your own firearms vs. renting can be discussed when you talk to our Adventure Consultants about booking your trip!

There are hunting opportunities year round, but some trophy species do have specified hunting seasons. Red Stag season is February through June, with the rut being, typically, the last 2 weeks of March to the first two weeks of April. If you bag your trophy early in your trip, then you have other opportunities for large game trophies to hunt, as well as predator species and bird hunting. Here are other species and their hunting seasons:

  • Duck: May-Early August
  • Fallow Deer: March-August

Any other species not listed above can be hunted year round.

Getting to the ranch is a simple international flight to Buenos Aires and an additional flight to the city of Santa Rosa, where a lodge representative will pick you up. From Santa Rosa, enjoy a scenic 45 minute drive to the Nehuen Mapu Big Game Hunting Ranch. If you prefer a private charter flight, there is a landing strip close to the ranch as well.

Upon departing, you’ll spend the night in Buenos Aires, before your flight back home.

We do not recommend attempting to travel with your own firearms for this experience. A variety of high end shotgun and rifle rentals are available for approximately $50 a day from the lodge.
